since I don't like gear of wars and find teh game too bland and easy, I don't belive it would benefit the d4, I already consider D4 as skipable game now just let me even forget more about this game

Rod Ferguson moves around the industry quite a bit. He has a reputation for being a "fixer." You bring him in to steer the ship if your franchise needs a strong arm.
Nothing is going to fix diablo from failing. I said it once and ill say it again, blizzard is OWNED by Tencent and chinese companies know NOTHING about quality, only about raping customers for as much money as possible (I mean, who you think forced diablo immortal, an cell phone game with pay features to earn money in the chinese market).
Now I've heard the excuses.... "but tencent only owns liek 5% of blizzard" okay, 5% as of how many years ago? you don't think they would purchase MORE? not to mention, blizzard is OWNED by Activision, and guess what, Tencent owns over 50% of Activision, when you put Activision and Blizzard ownership together as a total, its 55%, so guess who is controlling blizzard and what they can and can't do? TENCENT.
This dude jumping ship to blizzard, isn't going to do anything. He would be better off joining some other companies and putting his supposed talents to use elsewhere.... but seeing as I don't give 2 shits about gears of war because personally, I think its a terrible series, I don't see a place for him anywhere.

I hope he played Diablo and Diablo 2. (and passed on D3) I doubt he can do much to affect D4. Maybe he can make a hella awesome Diablo Mobile? (not that I'd even download it)

If he played both but skipped the third he could easily end up remaking the third.

What a mess... You don’t understand how the corporate structure of Activision and Blizzard works.
Both Blizzard Entertainment and Activision Publishing (and King) are FULLY owned by Activision Blizzard Inc.
Activision Blizzard Inc. main shareholders are mostly hedge funds with the biggest share owned by Fidelity Management with 8% and Vanguard Group with 7%.
Tencent used to own 5% of ATVI (Activision Blizzard Inc.), but currently it doesn’t even appear in the top 10 list of investors.

My point is to correct fake news. Unless you think it is fine just throwing data into a discussion, that came straight out of someone butt hole.
The reason Blizzard sided with China has nothing to do with Tencent. China has 1 Billion people, Hong Kong few Millions.
Blizzard was trying to (clumsily) protect their interest in the biggest market in the world. Obviously Blizzard overreacted big time, but it was all Blizzard Management decision, it wasn’t a Shareholders initiative.

Ex Blizzard North devs who worked on D1 and D2 worked on Grim Dawn
Also anyone who is into ARPGs has played D1 and D2 - pretty much goes without saying

don't matter the reason, they are still the blame, be in by being slaves from china or tecent, in both cases we guess it they reason, but again don't absolve from the guilt

This is either a good sign or a bad one.
