Looks like a really good VR experience. However that trailer looks like it was in 4k, are there even 4k VR headsets?
There are but the more popular ones aren't. The Oculus Rift S has two 1280x1440 screens and Valve Index two 1440x1600 screens. In game, they aren't quite a 2K but they are definitely better than a 1080p.
Loved this game when it first came out. Don't know if I'm willing to buy a VR system to play the three games I'm interested in currently.

That's kind of what it boils down to. All things considered, I paid more for my ultrawide monitor than I did my Oculus Rift S. When you think of a VR HMD as a piece of hardware, like a monitor or video card, rather than an accesory to a game, it's easier to justify.
I game on my monitor as much as I do my VR HMD. Just because you buy a VR headset doesn't mean you can't play regular games anymore.
I've been a big supporter of VR from the start. I currently don't have the money to upgrade from 1st gen to the mid gen revisions so I decided to wait until next gen to upgrade. Thankfully hands on with Alyx on the OG headsets were really positive.
Anyway, the last half year VR has finally started hitting its stride. More and more full feature games and less just tech demos. And as for Half Life Alyx, for years everyone thought I was crazy when I said I was 100% sure Valve was making Half Life VR. That belief was a big reason why I joined in so early. I was so happy that I was right. I also believe the other 2 Valve VR titles are Left for Dead VR and Portal VR.
In addition to valves first VR title we will also shortly be getting respawns long awaited first VR title with their return to Medal of Honor.
it would be nice if they sell vr-tek headset outside of NA
Why do you want those? They seem horrible.
I agree that they are horrible but they are hit right at what people need , cheap.
You may think 3DoF is something outdate compare to 6DoF headsets , but 3Dof is enough for casual PC users lol , i don't think there is 6DoF porn yet (or maybe i was under the stone)
It is nice to have a 6Dof headset and a PC strong enough to run it smooth , but as a PC user who sit in one place and look at the monitor watching cat video and prefer to use mouse and keyboard , i don't need 6Dof that much
My VR levels are
PC monitor > HMD (head mounted display)> 3Dof >3Dof with 6Dof hand controler > 6Dof > full body
i am at level of hmd to 3dof with 6dof hand controler . and vr-tek headset is right for user like myself. Cheap enough to buy it as a toy while have a basic need to replace the monitor.
it would be nice if oculus or valve produce this kind of headset too .
I don't know. To me, asking for VR-Tek headsets is like asking for a CRT monitor. A good monitor isn't so expensive that they need to bring back old shit just because it's cheaper.
On a side note, it looks like Walmart sells vr-tek for $19.99... but they are sold out, but so are all VR HMDs at the moment.

My VR group was just making fun of the replies like this.
"I will not take a step forward in gaming until I can plug directly into myr brain".
That makes sense...lol
