ok, so i bought my new nvidia 6600, and put it into my computer. well it needed a power supply and the power cables wouldnt reach the card. so i unhooked the power cables from both my Cd drives and plugged one into the card, and another one hanging around back into one of the cd drvies. well now, the cd drvie that i pluged it back into doesnt register and every time i boot up it says not found. i can tell there is power because the light is blinking, but it doesnt seem to register, any suggestions?

Well the only things i have to ask you is if you only needed one extra, then why did you remove 2? Oh yea and why didnt you hook up the extra one that you where going to hook up to your card, to your other cd drive??
besides that did you check all your wires the ones that hook up from your mobo to your cd drives, and and when does it say its not registering during bootup or when you log on to windows.
ok, it says not register wen i boot computer, i unplugged both because they were connected and they were the only ones that could stretch
but yeah...
ok this is gonna sound dumb, and not right, but it is. i did a bunch of unplugging and stuff, and i figureed out, that the top drive HAS TO BE PLUGGED IN, inorder for the second drive to work at all. so i.. unplugged the flooy drive (which i dont use), plugged the top and bottom cd drives in, and used the flooy chors for the vid card, now it all works, cept' the floppy. as i said in another post, dell doesnt let you upgrade. this is one of those cases.
whats a flooy drive??? is it a new type of drive?
yeah i fixed the problem, just not i dont have a floppy drive, too bad, dont care. and yes, a flooy drive is the hit new thing.
