New world: Pays to promote their game depsite the obvious fan backlash and disdain for how terrible the game is.
If they would invest their marketing budget into actually making the game good - /facepalm
Yes, because dev budget and marketing budget are one and the same . /facepalm
Literally, money has nothing to do here. We talk about Amazon. Hello?! They have all the money. If there will be a problem with the game, it will be because of dev's ..vision about the game, not because ..money. /secondfacepalm
3rd /facepalm is because you have 2 "Agree" and 1 "Insightful" .
Game budgets often include total expense (marketing and dev combined) and even the richest companies will try to stick to hitting projected numbers. Amazon not matter how rich isnt going to be irresponsible and act as if they have infinite money to throw away. It is common for projects to shift money from development to marketing and vice versa.
Saying money has nothing to do here is a laughably stupid statement. Amazon is rich because they control their budgets very tightly. You think Amazon is like - hey dev dudes - here is an infinite budget- go crazy!
Also you are surprised that people have different opinions than yours... that is what you are going to /facepalm
lol
Does anyone honestly still doubt from this quoted post and all the responses in this thread that this guy is Kano?
People don't just delete a decade old account then at the same time a previously idle account with mostly Trion related comment history starts non-stop posting and wording responses exactly like the deleted account... the writing pattern and structure is identical...
Wait! How is Kano gone?! Did he deleted his account? Or got banned??
Reporter: What's behind Blizzard success, and how do you make your gamers happy? Blizzard Boss: Making gamers happy is not my concern, making money.. yes!
Damn! I just saw that he's account is gone, which means he deleted it. A banned account says..that he was banned ( i know lol ).
Anyway, as much as I disagreed with Kano, I feel pretty sad to see this move. Literally, his comments were a...history for this website. No one can say that all his comments were .. "tricky". I enjoyed a lot of his comments actually. He was one of the ..few Elders to still lurk around on this website. I.."grew" up with Kano, lol!
Damn you Kano! Every now and then I still look up into my history comments and when I do that, I saw many of your comments too.
@mmorpg if .. he wants his account back, is there a chance you guys can restore it?

Nuked own account, bans dont remove users from database. You can still see posts from people that were banned years ago.
Kano's shit is all gone bye bye lol
@MikeB , I hope you already backed up his account! Seriously, his comments are part of mmorpg.com history .
Kano, if you read this, come back ! With whom am I going to have a.."fight" now?!
Bless On...I mean, Bless Unleashed is releasing soon!!

Its true that Amazon is unlikely to have just let the studio have an unlimited amount of cash, but Amazon's focus on business growth rather than profit could be a real boon for gamers.
If you look at its other businesses you will see that it allows many of them to run at a loss or generating little profit. If it allows the games division the same sort of leeway, it means we could be treated by a well funded and innovative game company that isn't driven solely by the bottom line.

Did Kano delete his account? All of his pprevious posts are gone too. I cant delete my posts the only thing I can do is edit them down to a "." Makes me think he wasn't the one who deleted.
I can only wonder what he could have said have his account deleted, he was opinionated but hardly outrageous.
From what I read in another thread - user deleted their own account, mods didnt do it.
I dont think mods would delete like that anyway, they can ban but not delete.
Well the other reason people do this is if it becomes embarrassing in their professional capacity. Kano did say he was in the industry and he said a lot of things which would annoy people in it. Maybe he was rumbled and realised he needed to cover his tracks.

It could not be that long gone; one of the vloggers I often watch did pointed out to one of his post not that long ago. Probably YongYea *ponders* Meh. I hope he is well.

So when they changed to the new sight did format change? Because I have seen others who deleted their accounts in the past but all of their old comments in the threads remained but the name changed to guest.
