The hero system broke the game when the hero of the server acts like a dictator, PK's anyone on their faction if they refuse to get into Team Speak, and uses IP addresses to Geo-Locate like a stalker, and Trion did nothing back in the day but still .

Hmmm, I'm all for any elected player "in-game" being able to do what they want in an "in-game" way because that supports the player-run world idea. Not everyone is a saint.
However ...
It should only apply to "in game" activities and should NEVER bleed over into real life.

AA is a sandbox for trolling and toxicity. No one takes the Hero and judicial mechanics seriously. And it's so poorly ran but all the whales keep giving them money since there's nowhere else that they can feel relevant. It had and still has potential. But aside from the player driven issues there just wasn't much else. The world feels dead. No life to it. In games like FFXIV even the NPCs are doing stuff. The cities and towns have activity that makes those areas look lively. If I wanted to play a world with JUST people and a lifeless world I would just stick with FPS games.
