The hiring for localizing is for North America and Europe. That is good news indeed. Plus they are looking for German, French, Italian says multilingual so it's coming. Very excited.

....which is what I was pointing at - you are considering just tiny part of the process, a miniscule part you are familiar with as a contractor while there is much more work needed to be done.
In fact, in order to bring a product to new market the part that takes the longest isn't even the "localization" but all "the other" business related stuff, ie. publishing.

I have led 13 teams and not just as a contractor. Yet I would love to know what projects you have worked on and what strategies you use. It is something I have done before doing animation work and continue to do if I am involved in the process of creation beyond just concept and animation, bringing a project to different markets is something I have done for years. I know many of the Korean and Chinese teams as well as 4 US teams 6 UK teams and 3 European teams (as well as a Russian team) Which one are you working with or have in the past? I would love to chat about it with a fellow peer! We can swap war stories about the process from concept to market ship.

Did anybody get a chance to play the RU Open beta when it launched?
Yes - the game is decent until you start to do end game content and then its just not fun anymore.
So just a slightly improved Devilian and MuLegends? I watched people stream it the first few days after launch and the P2W elements of the ilvl grind were a big turnoff. But I'll give it a try when it arrives.

It is the most polished and best version of Devilian/Mu legends/ELOA etc... by far.
There are almost no repeating tile sets and a huge variety of monster models (instead of reskins most games do). The devs have really put in a ton of work and didn't cut many corners.
But at its core this game is still very much a Devilian/MuLegends/ELOA... etc, so I was pretty disappointed in the end, as there is no hook to keep playing unless you love to grind same end game content so that you can get gear to grind next tier of end game content so that you can get gear to move up yet to the next grind
And it just repeats like that
MMO end game is a chronic problem - because while leveling up you experience all the different content and see so much cool stuff... and then you hit that end game wall where its endless repetition and grind of the shit you've done 100 times already.
When it comes to ARPGs, I prefer seasons/leagues to MMO lockout timers and such. Just let us grind as much as we want and then take a break until the next season.
I don't play ARPGs like other people do. I get to max I don't keep grinding and yes I know that kind of defeats the whole ARPG idea. No I am one of the many alts player. I play different builds that I get to max and then I go make another character.
So end game does not really attract me. I only did that in Path of Exile the map part.
I can't get excited about games coming over to the usa. They get bought by self serving corporations who love microtransactions. Note I am okay with a cash shop that is done right. Yet to see a proper cash shop. Note I am okay with businesses and corporations. If they care about the public they can make a greater impact on society than a righteous nun.
I blame the school system for teaching children to compete with each other instead of working together. It teaches a self serving I me my destroy the competition attitude that destroys us all in the end.
The children were our future and we fucked it up. Now we are paying the price.
I prefer this to be a mmorpg with content as such, rather than yet another seasonal Arpg. Hopefully they make the end game more appealing but I do like what I've seen from content like the card game.

The text translation and volume is rather the easiest part.
By far the largest hurdle is GUI - you have to make sure the new textations fit all GUI elements.
So what matters the most is the GUI code and people working on it.
