What happened to me!!??

So, after almost 8 years, I decided to put the 'ol 4820k into retirement and rebuild...Or build a new PC depending on how you view Ship of Theseus-type stuff.  I was coming from a giant air-cooled full tower case to a more modest mid-tower.  So, given that I only have two 120mm exhaust fan spots(one top, one rear), I figured my old generic 120mm fans wouldn't cut it and I couldn't use my 140mm Noctua fans, I would spring for some premium 120mm high RPM fans...

I didn't want to wait another week to play Shadowlands, so I ordered from Best Buy and all they had were RGB fans.  Ugh, whatever, I'll turn them off.  I get my computer all built and set up and working great...Only one problem.  I can't turn off the Unicorn explosion.  I mean, I can disconnect the RGB or even change it via the software, but I just...can't.

I'm an old man and my computer looks like the final battle in an episode of the Care Bears...Every time I look at it I just stare.  Do they put mind control in RGB?  Is this how it begins?  If I don't get help, is my next step a $100 RGB headset stand???

    I can't wait till i replace my rgb keyboard on my other gaming machine, not for the lights as much as the better way to play.

    Stumbled upon an amazing setup, specially for mmorpg players.

    That keyboard wouldn't be a bad option either with how the keys are lined up.

    Yeah my sons love all the flashing. I mean if i didn't discover this superior way to play, i could live with it.

    My room is a bit dark and I need a rgb kb to type or I cannot see anything. I have it set too a soothing blue.

    I like that, i did that, same as my other machine in a dark room, i loved the look..

    Then one windows update i guess removed the razer software, and during the update a near 400mb download to install razer software popped up, and i declined knowing i'll probably replace the board with the Logitech. But now can't control anything on the board so it's just stuck in a rgb rotation.

    Before everything i had forever and a day the Saitek Eclipse II and set to blue permanently. Had it so long the keys wore out lol.

    You should have some software that will turn everything to a steady white, but it is a bloody nuisance. My keyboard, mouse and tower PC all now need software to control the light show. :)
