Bazgrim does another great video on Pantheon: RotF and brings receipts. I'm glad he did this as I still see a lot of these misconceptions about Pantheon on various sites, including the official forums. It's only 18 minutes and Baz is very thorough as usual.

Raised on MTV and reading, if it's longer than a music video it's too much.

Then it is too long

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'

Lahnmir, as I am in Grammar Nazi mode today should that "then Haiku" not be "than Haiku"? Superb poetry btw.

Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.
It's like seeing a disregarded briefcase in an airport.
DONT OPEN IT !!!!!...... TELL SOMEONE INSTEAD.
2 No he wasn't thorough because he talks about investment but doesn't tell us who the Angel investor/s are to set aside any notions of changing the game or possibly turning it into a heavy cash shop game.Baz got one point right, the devs wouldn't tell us even if they did sellout to investors after claiming they have been turned down full funding but those offers meant changing the game core values.
3 forced grouping:There has only been ONE game to pull that off and still solo and that is FFXI.I VERY highly doubt they can pull off a grouping challenge and still allow that content to be solo without getting into garbage scaling crap.It worked in FFXI because of the subclass design as well as very useful abilities. It works to near perfection NOW because of the TRUSTS added to the game.
4 Just another EQ clone:They may try hard to debunk that but imo the basic core of the game very much looks like an EQ clone.
I still see a lot of the group action within a DUNGEON,i can't stand MMO 's that remove the mmo world and stick people into an instance dungeon.Even worse is something i remember from one episode was mention of it won't be instanced as you can see each other but will still ACT like an instance.
My own point "lol" that climbing looks unrealistic fake as shit.It is just a climbing animation that goes off no matter where the character is in the animation like climbing in thin air sort of look.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
They mentioned they NEVER planned on doing a reskin of EQ,ok fine ,tal kis cheap ,maybe it is true.
They do however also mention that they simply went for ideas from the past games that seem to work the best for the genre.Welll these are EQ fanbois so geesh i wonder if they think those ideas are good or not?
My personal take and i have stated it before is that FFXI surpassed nearly everything EQ did.EQ was great for it's time, was the best there was for about 4 years and imo improved with EQ2 albeit EQ2 was basically a changing of the guard design alongside Wow which is a clone of EQ2.
Anyhow back on track, not only do i feel FFXI surpassed EQ by a lot,i don't even like most of of EQ's design anymore. The ONLY thing i still prefer is the grouping and camping for XP.
On that note,i NEVER want to see xp which stands for EXPERIENCE ever handed out from quests.I don't want to ever see markers over a crow's head either cough...ahem Valheim.
Joppa i think was stated in the one excerpt that they/Brad ALL of them wanted a world that feels like a realistic world and to that ,you got me onboard with that statement.

Only release could cause hype after the shiny is gone.
Text is okay because it's searchable. You can scroll through it and see headings pretty quickly, so can have some idea of what is there within seconds. You can't do that with videos.
So he goes on the website to draw up some more revenue by adding more fluff.
