Playing it on Special Edition too.

Any chance your mod will be for the PS4? I usually always play on PC, but I am in between computers and I haven't convinced my wife yet on the benefits of me building the family a new gaming computer. She would rather us spend the money on appliances... ?

Currently playing Skyrim again and since I lowered my expectations I am having a lot of fun.
    I'm also currently playing Skyrim.

I saw an old post on reddit about using a Bound Bow and that was enough to get me started again

IDK why but I had never paid much attention to Conjuration before but I'm loving that bow + unlimited spectral arrows. Throw in some stealth for extra damage and it's a very powerful build.
I love conjuration. I use it more for summoning Daedra, but it allows you to be light, fast, and stealthy.

All this talk has me wanting to reinstall Skyrim. I have over 200hrs played but I only completed about 30% of the main quest.

love the trailer Sovrath, are you the voice actor?

Personally I loved Morrowind but I couldn’t get into Oblivion because of the feeling of the combat and the amount of copy paste and the loading screens. My kids absolutely loved it at the time.

I certainly enjoyed Oblivion for what it was, the game looked great at the time and the dark brotherhood quest chain is probably my favourite in the whole series. But, still doesn't stand up to Morrowind.

    My main issues with Oblivion:

    1) Scaling!
Hate it. Ruined the game experience for me. Just pure garbage. Probably took me 20 hours to realise that scaling was even in the game, all I was aware of was a complete lack of interesting enemies and loot.

Once I figured it out, I looked up how to game the system. So, each subsequent playthrough has begun with a couple of hours of standing in a town, conjuring stuff, letting it beat on me for a bit, then killing it with daggers.....all so I can hit a high level as quickly as possible. Then I'll start playing the game properly, happy in the knowledge that I'll get the full range of enemies and loot.

    2) Low Fantasy World
It's just medieval Europe with a few demons and non-humans walking around. Pretty, but boring. I live in England, I have 4 or 5 castles within 30 minutes drive of my house. So, a few rolling hills and some castles are not inspiring, that's just going for a drive in the countryside. There was nothing about the world that made me want to explore. Especially not in comparison to Morrowind, which was absolutely chock full of high fantasy weirdness and wonder.

    3) Oblivion Gates
They just flat out sucked. Most were exactly the same, thus the repetition left them boring. They lacked challenge, and if you hadn't hit high level, the enemies were boring too. Worse for me, they seemed to bug out all the time.

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed the game and sunk a decent amount of hours into it. Just nowhere near as many as Morrowind (which was a far better game) and nowhere near as many as Skyrim (which had the better and more accessible mod community).

Thanks Laserit um "yes" I'm the voice actor though I'm trying to make my voice sound a bit old and tired, because "ACTING!"

I would suggest trying Oblivion again, there are some wonderful bits here and there and wonderful quests if you like doing quests.

Also, Finish up Skyrim, there's a lot of great stuff there as well.

As far as the Conjuration conversation above, I've tried having a character that ONLY uses conjuration for summoning though I have a mod that levels the summons so they don't just become useless.

However, I've never used summoned items. I might try that.

Appliances puleez! those are for suckers! toast your bread with the fire you build in your garage like a real man! B)

Not sure. It's my hope that I can first upload it for special edition. Then I promised the voice actor (who did an amazing job even though he's not an actor) for the daedra you see in the trailer that I'd upload it for xbox. So that's another "we'll see."

My thought is that "if I can I will."

There's actually someone who's favorite Elder Scrolls game is Oblivion? Now I have seen it all...

There's a YouTuber who has been doing a lot of Morrowind content (he's Irish) and he also states that it's his favorite.

I guess it depends on when one was introduced to the games. Some feel Daggerfall is the pinnacle, others Morrowind.

Still others prefer Skyrim as it has a bit more "hand-holding" so less wandering around with no clue on where to go.

Daggerfall was my first and I loved it!  Getting lost in dungeons for hours for many was a nightmare but I kinda enjoyed it....When Morrowind came out I found it pretty easy and the dungeons were way too small.

I've been recently playing Daggerfall and I hear you. they really are rather sprawling which I love. It's also nice to know that there are puzzles and secret doors.

Are you playing the new version with the updated graphics or the old school one?

    The Unity one.

I was never able to get far with "old school" daggerfall.

Daggerfall in the unity engine makes playing it smooth and easy and I can have a few mods to make the world look a bit less pixelated/old.

So I have rolling hills and mountains, a better night sky, better music because the original music, the sounds, gives me a headache and "hand painted" items/characters.

Ok good I saw a video on the untiy world and it did look really nice.

And it's easy to install. Try eettttt!

Ok great i will take a look at that thx
