A music label wants to “invest” in my music and I don’t know what to do.

here is what the label offered me:

• 20000 eur artist advance

• 15000 eur music video budget

• 20000 eur marketing budget

all of which are recoupable

Apart from those, they will not own my masters because they are only a distribution company with investing deals for artists. I was chosen to be part kd the program and I’m really on a loop to whether sign the deal or not.

I’m struggling to sign the deal because it’s recoupable; it’s just borrowed money and I’m afraid I might get stuck on paying my loan.

However, the promise of a great career growth is there (sure Spotify editorial playlists, Tiktok placements, spotify banners and ads) and I don’t know if I’m ready to place myself on a financial struggle for these.
