Hmmm you're pretty dismissive of other people and yet perhaps you are the biggest fanbois of all, yet one who has been spurned?

After all, you don't seem to be able to "let go and move on" but you do seem to harbor a lot of anger.

    Just a thought.

Tried this game when it was free...thought it was horrible for that price.

Even so, OP, may be time to let it go. Trying to push people in one direction or the other will most likely not turn out well....

It's a unity asset game with 200 players and 2 devs.

If you think you can do a better job have at it or get over it.

I can only imagine the pounding headache having to deal with hackers, cheaters, and toxic players who turn into butt hurt forum warriors must be for only two people.

Let's be real tho getting banned by Project Gorgon is like getting dumped by a really ugly girlfriend.

Clearly the OP has an immense slice of beef with PG, from what I have seen so far he is not going to get over that this year if ever at all. My advice, move on and find another game, don't waste your life on one game you see as letting you down.

I dont think thats a bad thing, as long as you have expectations as to what that means and why they are doing that. If Pantheon had as much content as P-Gorgon. I would sub to play it. In a case like this, What are you looking for in a MMO? If Gorgon fits that, go have fun. These labels mean little. I remember EQ1 launching with no raids, end game was dungeons. WoW in 2004 launched with no end game content at all. Some MMOs were flops at lunch but managed to make some successful games, with the support of fans. Back too it, I would chuck more money at Pantheon, if I had something to show for it.

Progression is the difference. If one can retain it, the game may be worth playing, otherwise all anyone is doing is paying for the "privilege" to test someone's game for them.

It is kind of odd that the OP is continuously picking on a tiny game developed by two people.  I'm not thrilled by the VIP elements, but the developers do seem to be making a legit effort at making a quality game with very little resources, and also are legitimately invested in the player base.  I've shit on plenty of indie MMO developers over the years, but I truly believe they didn't have the best of intentions or were dishonest.  IDK, this just seems like picking a fight with the smallest, weakest guy in your school, who is a decent person to begin with and doesn't hurt anyone.  Aren't there more worthy opponents to spend your time and effort on?

I guess i can sort of feel guilty of freeloading since i played this for free for about 6 months. However i would never pay for a game like this,it has the look of VERY indie far from polished.

On paper it is a good game but needed a real developer and some manpower and money put into it.IDK the mindset of this dude, why he took this on basically by himself, maybe didn't like working for someone else idk but the idea was too big for him and the 1-2  others he had helping him on/off.

The reason i hung around so long "6 months" is because i wanted to see how Eric was handling development,i wanted to see if had any future or hope. What i saw was that he just kept moving forward,i THINK trying to make new areas for those giving him money,to keep them interested/happy.

He should have never moved past the very first zone until it looked AAA so i knew then and there the game was never going to be polished.

If i had to put a $$$ on this game,it's monetary value...worth,i could only give it 10-15 tops.I have bought better games for 10-15 bucks albeit on sale yes.

That does not really set up the thread for a healthy conversation.
This game wasn't healthy for my mental health what do you expect learned the hard way to not grow attached to someone else little dream project that I clearly was not in the plan for had promises to my old guild master I failed to keep due to him passing away from cancer and the ban making me miss my chance to fulfill them, am I supposed to be a bright and cheerful about being called a very naughty boy and treated like a child then banned for speaking up one final time?

Naw I earned the right to be this way the fact I a someone that is 23 at the time  was told to be the bigger man and ignore that a mistake was made and they didn't want to say sorry

And endure mocking degrading tone they gave me like i was some 15 year old punk um imma have to say no, and don't worry past is past my new steam accounts set up and I have recovered what I lossed and wont touch this game, if they were going to do the pop shop method of the game at least warn some youngling like me so I know what kind of older generational snowflakes I was working with

Which I found out the hard way I am dealing with the kind that will mock you while your down and when wrong will tell you to not say anything or you get banned, I have severed this bs like cancer

This is the only game on steam that bans you for asking why you got banned for a month

Got banned the first time due to a mistake and them misunderstanding my words then i got back months later but they couldn't even man up to that much and tell me only when I went nuclear and try to talk in global chat about it did I get an answer then a ban with it customer support and filing tickets to asks were useless I am 24 and supposed to be more mature and be the bigger man and walk away while these guy's are like 60-70 heck no
I can't tell if you're trolling or not.  If you're serious, though, and you're having mental or emotional trouble dealing with a shitty little indie game, then you really do need to seek help.  I'm being serious, not trying to be a dick.  That's not a normal reaction and you really need to find a professional to help you figure out what the underlying issues are.

Putting up a deliberately biased thread does tend to invite such.

Prospective purchasers unfamiliar with P:G would do well to read all substantive reviews of the game, both positive and negative, and try out the demo for themselves before making any decision on purchasing the game or supporting it further.

Fortunately those are all conveniently provided on the main Steam page of the game, along with a link to a discussion forum where such persons can explore contrasting views expressed about the game in general terms and over specific elements to their heart's content.

Nobody need make any choice about P:G uninformed.

    EDIT:

After reading the thread further It has become clear that your genuine motivation here is to grind an entirely different axe than you had purported, one that indicates you are not in a place where you can discuss P:G related issues with detachment. As such, I see little point in continuing our exchange over the optional subscription at this time.

Well, it's pretty impressive for a 2-person team, and it has some really neat and interwoven skill sets.  You have to go in expecting a couple of things:  not a high degree of polish, and the requirement to do a tremendous amount of grinding.  If PvE grind, a small and friendly community, and unique skills are your thing, you may really like it.  I do think that they set a ridiculous barrier to entry at $39.99, though.  My guess is that if they'd priced it at $14.99-$19.99, they would have more than made up the money with the number of people willing to give it a shot, especially when compounded by the additional word-of-mouth advertising.  Also, I see the P2W elements in the new sub option as a step in the wrong direction.

This is like fanboi turned stalker.  You are here saying for people not to purchase.  But what I am thinking from all this attention you are giving them, is that you want to play this game so badly, and are hurt by not being able to play it.

I'm fine with the entry fee. I expect it prompts more consideration as to whether it is worth the cost, and as a result likely more research as to what they are thinking about buying in to. The demo is also available to help them with the choice.

That quickly bought may well be quickly returned if the purchaser is not aware of the nature of it beforehand, and P:G doesn't make the best first impression for those going in blind I expect.

That may be a factor, although it doesn't seem overly probable to me.  I don't think many people are prompted to research further because of the high price.  More likely, the $40 cost scares them away immediately based on what they're presented with up front, preventing them from ever looking further into the game.  Many people are going to immediately realize that that's an extremely high price for an early access, indie game with shitty graphics (all easily discernable just from some quick glancing on Steam, in particular) and be so put off, they'll immediately forget it and never look again.

I didnt even think it was worth the time when it was free tbh. Everything about it was mediocre at best and just nothing special about it....and for $40? No thanks.
