Does not look like an MMO , looks like a coop multi player survival game ..

But then again many LoL players think they are playing an MMO

While it doesn't look like a PvP/hardcore PvE game; it does look like a game to just chill in when you need a break from that. To each their own.

I know what BOTW simulation means but wtf does a multiplayer like Minecraft mean?

I have a hunch the comparison to SIMS means they will be selling tons of costumes,so a 99.9% guaranteed cash shop otherwise why would you compare it to SIMS?

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

I believe you all are overlooking the fact that we're in the midst of an all-star team behind this project.

They have talent from all over: Naughty Dog, Epic Games, Blizzard Entertainment, Riot Games, Zynga, and Sony. They were able to secure $16M+ in VC funding to build Singularity Six and their first release. With 50+ developers and after 3-4 years they finally decided to pull the wraps off of this project and show it to us -- the world.

I think we're all in for a pleasant surprise. And after diving into the details, it looks like this is a really fresh game full of opportunity to capture gamers' attention beyond grinding out levels via combat/dungeons.

Check out their social channels for more info!

This whole "boomer" thing is something insecure millennial/gen z kids say when they have nothing else to back up their argument.

Any game that looks cartoony does not mean Wildstar look alike. Incidentally I loved the art style of Wildstar.

I like the art style here too and I love the idea of Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing mix in a game. I am going to be keeping an eye on this for sure.

Looking into this, the game is fully funded and has a staff of about 50 experienced developers. No mucking around on this one.

As if I needed another mmo in development to get hyped for but here we are lol. Looks like a good game to play with my son. Getting bored of Minecraft all the time. I foresee a lot of gaming families getting into this one. A social, community driven mmo is such an untapped market.

If they can swing non-instanced building, farming and trading, I would 100% be into this. I always liked the concept of A Tale in the Desert, but I could never get past the ancient engine.

While it's not "my style" of MMORPG (hardcore/sandbox/combat), I'm open-minded enough to anticipate it. Why? Because it does what every other MMORPG fails to do and that's create a sense of a second home and belonging. I can tip my hat to that.

I would have cringed at the fact that combat is optional and never needs be done in this game, till I plays Fenyx Immortal Rising. I have played that game sometimes for up to 2-3 hours and not realizing I have not killed a single NPC till I have turned off my Xbox. This game will have dungeons later but the exploring side of me, that zen gamer, really enjoys that type of game play. Its kinda become something I did know I wanted. Im really interested to see what a few hours of game play on this game will look like.

This actually looks promising.  I think the big danger here might be a lack of world size.  Boredom is a very real problem in crafting/building games.  I wonder how many of the materials will be in the cash shop, 'cause I'm not into spending actual money on a virtual building.  I can build just fine with CE or NMS without paying for a special building material set (which is essentially nothing more than cosmetics for houses).

I think payment model is always a driving factor. Its funny, you take a game like GW2 with a fair cash shop it it does not pain you. But how quickly a cash shop can turn into something that makes a good game, just not worth even looking at.

As for content. This team is made up for developers that should know how to make sure thats not an issue. I also am very interested in seeing what content they will launch with and what a few hours of game play will look like. I really hope they let some streamers in soon. This is one of the few games I signed up for beta this year.
