When Forza hit the Xbox One generation of consoles, the fact that every car on the road was inspired by the play data of a real player seemed to evoke a shift in how multiplayerin the racing franchise would work. Even without your friends playing, they were there. Forza Horizon 5 is releasing this November, and the multiplayer is sounding more MMO-adjacent by the minute, with the dev team stating that the cars you see are real players.

Gameplay designers, seldom ever, quite the contrasting results.
I am of he old school thought gameplay>graphics and more in lien with i want BOTH.
I have for like 40 years been a huge DIRT racing fan,i feel it has way more energy and live feel than asphalt Motorport/Nascar type racing. Also the fact that DIRT racing is on a smaller track so yeah you'll feel the racing.
My point is that these type of car games don't do much for me,i am not into the car shop upgrade idea as being game enough for me,i need the whole living world feel.
What i would have liked to see is create a new city in an upgrade each year or so and keep adding on so players can drive from city to city and see other players live running around in their cars. Then players can build homes, maybe a Montana type zone, a Las Vegas zone etc etc, give each city/state it's own custom feel.
So in Vegas players can gamble ,in Montana maybe they build a ranch/farm,a full living experience,a full game.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Aaaaah wait... this one is not coming for PC?
It should, it's even sold directly on Steam.
