I've played around 15-20 hours so far and have been enjoying it. The combat is definitely improved from the first game and the maps are all set up well. My only real criticism of the game is in the class/loadout system. Ive played several hundred hours of Mordhau and really love the freedom to set up characters however you like. Chivalry 2 allows a good bit of choice in weapons but is much more restricted than Mordhau. Overall for $40 it's a good buy if you enjoy these types of games.
They definitely have some bugs. I bought it last night and played the open beta. I got about 6-7 hours in it so far. The netcode needs some love or optimization overall because every server i've joined has rubberbanding and i'm on the west coast in which I join west servers. I jumped back into mordhau to treat myself to good netcode.
Pro: "Impressive graphics and limb dismemberment". - That did tickle me.
Looks interesting, one thing thematically, everyone looks like a knight, maybe the classes could look more different? Some like the archers do, but many have a "heavy armour" look that makes them look rather similar.

True, most players tend to look fairly heavily armored. I think that falls down to the cosmetic options, most people want to look as badass as possible which usually means fancy armor. There are options though for more light and leather armors, just not as popular I suppose./

Yeah, and you have to unlock cosmetics with currency you earn in game (or buy, but don't buy - unless you just want to support the studio). So the game is still new and people haven't unlocked a bunch of stuff yet to customize.
