ESO Old-Timey Access Guide

This is for those that wish to access ESO in a manner as close as possible to the old days, when games and expansions were purchased and access required a subscription.

• Purchase the most recent Collection to start out.
  
• Subscribe and maintain your subscription.
  
• Buy each upgrade as it becomes available.
• Confine in game Crown Store purchases to the Crown stipend that comes with your subscription at no additional cost (or leave them unspent if you prefer to avoid it altogether.)
  

That is all that need be done.
