    They are full loot dumb dumb. Only a small % of people who like PVP games actually like full loot pvp games. Again, trying to compare FPS PvP lobby games to a sandbox full loot pvp MMO is just silly. They are completely different games. 

    Edit: Trying to compare Fortnite's full loot PVP to a game like Albion Online is silly as well. Completely different beasts. 
    People are comparing New World to Crowfall, which are two totally different style of games, yet I don't see you losing your shit about that. 

    So.. again.. what do you think it is about the whole MMO part of a PvP game, that makes it less attractive then a straight up PvP.

    You're missing the most obvious difference: in Fortnite you play a character with a total lifespan of 1 - 25 minutes and the "full loot" you drop on death is just the stuff you found in the battleground in that 1-25 minutes.

    It's as casual a shooter as shooters get which is why it became a megahit - it's PvP for the masses with not one damn thing "hardcore" about it.

    No need to even PvP. That's how the Diablo 3 HC mode works.

    But it sure isn't a non persistent character used only in 25 minute matches where even if you win you lose all the loot because it doesn't carry from match to match. There is no improving your character either - it's just the same basic character like everyone else's starting over from scratch for every 25 minute BG.

    Cosmetic skins are the only persistent thing and you never lose those.

    Honestly, I spent quite a bit of time playing the Hardcore Server in DDO, it's both annoying and boring as all fuck.

    You could play it safe but the whole purpose of D3 is to increase the difficulty. There is no point in playing it unless you do that.

    It has 150 difficulty levels. Pushing beyond 100 is no cakewalk. Every season I have HC deaths in the GR 100+ range.

    So maybe you've played HC DDO carefully but that's not the way I play D3 HC. I push until I die and whenever I die the best gear which naturally I have equipped for high GR pushing goes with it.

    At any rate... neither D3 nor Fortnite have anything whatsoever to do with whether MMO gamers enjoy full loot PvP in MMOs. That has always been a small fraction of what is already a small fraction of gamers - players who play MMOs in the first place.

    I like how the streamer had MMORPG.com forums scrolling in the background, recognized the banned user picture, but not the individual who was displayed. (FBSDK or something like that)

    But...that minute or two Honey promo at the front will keep me from ever watching another of his videos.

    He did do a good job putting into perspective how truly niche the MMORPG genre is compared to the greater gaming landscape.

    Also a bit sobering to comprehend just how many of hundreds of millions of people play games I would never consider.

    Maybe that is the way you play, but, when one wrong move ends the whole thing and I need to start all over again, after a few dozen times starting over, it sets in "Maybe I shouldn't be a reckless ass about this" 

    But I am sure your system works for you.
