Like the game and wish they did more of the QOL such as Path of Diablo, Project Diablo, etc have done.
I understand wanting to keep the game true to the original, but I can load of my game whenever I want. I want to experience something that'll blow away D3 and POE because they spent a few weeks changing some shizzle up and expanding to maps, etc.
We will see how much they decide to improve it or not.
I was a union member (Ironworkers) for many years as an apprentice all the way up to job steward and foreman. Unions have their place, specifically in dangerous jobs where the site safety changes literally every second. I can say without a doubt that unlike HR, the union is there to protect the workers, not the management.
You would be shocked. I participated in many Union negotiations with the Teamsters. Sure when the rank and file were present there was yelling and cursing and fighting for the man! But behind the scenes it's just "I'm up for re-election in a year. I need X/Y/Z. When we start, you give us X... Let me fight and win Y and Z as we negotiate". And it worked both ways. Believe me, we told the Union folks they had to let us win A,B,C as well...
Usually they were very easy to give up new members. "Sure we can change the vacation/timeoff/holidays/whatever for new guys but don't touch the old ones"
Even had instances where the union guys told us how to get rid of problem folks.
It's mostly theatre for the masses.
As for D2... Graphics looked good but I think other games do it better today. PoE comes to mind. Other than nostalgia not sure what D2 brings today.

I would say Teamsters unions are a good example of having a union where one isn't needed. I'm not shocked at all that they are corrupt.
It's probably different with AFL/CIO unions. We had a local president, vice president and 3 business agents (both 416 and 229). I can tell you that our union reps made the same or less than a full time journeyman ironworker. The only bonus to being a union rep was your paycheck was consistent and you weren't killing yourself in the field (you also got a second pension if vested in both). To be a union rep you have to be a journeyman ironworker and were voted in by other journeyman ironworkers only.
