Turn-Based RPG Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters Releasing on PC in 2022 | MMORPG.com
If you like the Warhammer 40k universe and turn-based RPGs, you might be interested in Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters set to hit PC in 2022.
"Frontier Foundry, a dedicated games label of Frontier Developments, announced the title at Gamescom."
No, it didn't. The game was revealed during the annual Skulls event almost 2 months ago. Since then it was public on Steam, with its release aimed for 2022.
It might have been hyped at Gamescom yesterday or whenever, with its new trailer and all (which reuses several scenes from the June trailer, btw), but that's about it. This is not news.
I loved the original Chaos Gate, a great tactical strategy game with (for the time) some really good customisation options for your guys. Basically a low-rez XCOM.
So, quite happy for a new game in the same vein. I'm curious how they're going to introduce roleplaying into the game, doesn't feel like a natural fit to me, but if the tactical gameplay and the squad customisation remains then I'll be happy.

Warhammer has a huge Roleplaying following, Dark Heresy being my personnel favourite.
But does it have that grim dark a look to the graphics, looked a bit pastel and pink at times to me?

Say what you want about WH40K: Inquisitor Martyr but they absolutely nailed the aesthetic. And humor.

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'

That was one of my favourite ones, the WH games are a mixed bag hopefully this one will be solid. In the future some sort of WH 40K Vermintide would be interesting or at least a fully 3D game, we need more of those too.

Developers of Vermintide are making 40k version called Darktide. You can check trailer on youtube. And it seems like one of characters will be Ogryn!!
Definitely looking forward to Darktide.

This shows what happens when you play nearly no attention to whats's in development.

Fishing on Gilgamesh since 2013
Fishing on Bronzebeard since 2005
Fishing in RL since 1992
Born with a fishing rod in my hand in 1979
I always figured you for an Adeptus Sororitas, so that fits.
