Funny thing is, I've never seen a game ban people for external or forum posts before. Not even GW2 which goes to great lengths to keep negativity away from its devs.
Bro you called your account Intrepid Sucks and called the game a scam while being disingenuous about what you get for the $375 package pretending its just for a name reservation.

Of course you got banned.
The bans appear to be well deserved, won't be surprised to see the same happen here unless you can keep your anger in check.
Are you really this upset you couldn't reserve a name without buying a certain package level?
Seems like there's something I'm missing from the story.

This forum too seemed to have a rampant and questionable ban wave recently - well, at least questionable and unfounded in my case, can't speak for all... but wouldn't be surprised if same'd apply to most.
I'm now just checking back occasionally to see whether they've managed to come up with a reason or anything, but apparently it's easier to just put the fingers in the ears, ignore all the mails and questions, and hush about it until us suckers get tired about it, right @MikeB ?

My guess is you well know why you were banned, you just disagree with their reasoning.
One exception, MikeB recently decided posting on socially charged issues, particularly if deragatory towards other people are under a zero tolerance, one strike and you are gone forever (apparently)policy which isn't well known.

The last post you put in that image:
"I screenshotted original post and this and you will be reported and social mediad"
That right there is just dripping with arrogance.
Reading through both, with whatever was available, you didn't seem to handle yourself very well. Dismissive with a complete disregard for the rules and mods. It doesn't seem like they've abused anything here, you just misbehaved?
My guess is you well know why you were banned, you just disagree with their reasoning.
I wish... unfortunately you've guessed wrong, on both part.
I don't know why I was banned, and I couldn't care less about their reasoning, nor about changing that.
(actually, someone told me I ain't even banned anymore, I didn't check myself, and don't care. I consider myself banned, and I'll gladly be gone after I got my answer)
The only reason I'm checking back from time to time is to see whether I've got any replies or not, because I haven't got the slightest clue on why I was banned, and I really want to know, before I leave.
That, and to see if there's a new ReRoll piece that's the only worthwhile piece on the front page section, imo, and I plan to check back for that too.
As a matter of fact, it was my closest guess on the ban, in a thread -while I actually kinda defended mmorpg.com against MOP- I've said I'm only here for the forums because the rest of the site has dropped in quality a lot.
But I'm almost certain it couldn't be the reason, it was weeks before the ban, and even they aren't this sensitive to dish out immediate ban on an opinion like that.
I don't know all the circumstances of your ban but I'm not against the concept of people being banned for content they post on other game sites.
In reality, this happens all the time - for example, if you post cheats or sell gold. Those would be examples of stuff you may do outside of the game and official forums that can get you banned.
If I spent millions to develop a game and some 'tard was trashing it on mmorpg.com I'd have no trouble closing his game account. I'm not talking honest reviews - I'm talking people who are being intentionally destructive.
So if I find a guy in a game that I dislike, I can make an account on a social media platform with the same name and post shit about the company and get him banned? And it's up to him to TRY and fight it?
Also, does the TOS in place when the game was purchased give a company the right to monitor behavior on other sites? Think about the repercussions of that. I am playing a Tencent game and they find out that I posted a "Free Uyghurs" message on Twitter and they close the account I have invested 2 years time in with no compensation. Think about that in a non-gaming instance.
Slippery slope does not even begin to describe what can happen here.

Back in the day when I was playing UO there was a group that hosted a website that took graphics from the game and posted the monsters/players in sexually explicit poses. The people on the website were very open about who they were and their in-game names were in most of the screenshots.
Obviously, you'd need to take care to avoid the slippery slope - I'm for moving in the direction of developers protecting their games and forcing out players who are there to just destroy things.
As for the TOS, I should think using in-game assets to make graphic material would suffice. If not, then get that TOS in place.
I have no room for people who do nothing but make the world ugly. Time to start taking heads.
As to the other part, you didn't answer but gave a tangential example so I will be specific. If I go and make an account on Reddit called Wargfoot and bash MMORPG.COM. Maybe link to this thread with screenshots. Would it be OK for MMORPG.COM to ban your account here? And for you to have to somehow prove that it wasn't you on the other site?
Take that further to be a company with a product that you actually purchased and invested time and money into. Your behavior on their site was exemplary but they didn't like something an account with your name Tweeted. They can ban you for that? That would be OK? No refund for all the money spent to date? All that time wasted?

I ain't sure if it was a reply to the OP or me, in my case I'm certain it had nothing to do with external sites, but the rampant ban wave on the site here.
The concept itself can be shaky as Slapshot's examples demonstrate, but in theory I ain't against it either. Ban is always in the jurisdiction of the owner. My issue is not with the ban itself, but with the zero explanation.
Sure, my experiences are admittedly lacking on this, in my 35+ years spent on the net (and trust me, it included many places way more toxic than this) I was never banned from anywhere - this is why I take this one personally, and why I want an answer on the actual reason.
From the other end of the hammer I don't have much more either, only moderated two places, but in both cases banning was a clear and well-regulated process, one had automated messaging (at ban it mailed the post in question), by the other the mods had to fill in the reason of the ban (which was then mailed to the culprit).
Maybe we were the exception there, and this ignorant, deafening silence is the "norm", still it's a shame to see people can be banned from a core site like this, without even a single message...

Yah, but can you prove who was who?
Anyone can just copy someone else's name, and shit talk, and if a company was that insane, or just outright stupid, to ban any account in their own game with the same name for what was said on other social media, oh holy shit, let the trolling start boys! We got a new tool in our arsenal to fuck with everyone and anyone else, and give the game itself about the shittiest rep ever known. That would be the best way to troll people I didn't like.
Make a Reddit account, or some other game forum, and shit post till they got banned.
When they got banned, no doubt they would raise shit about it. Oh the trolling fuckery that could happen with that level of a game company being that level of petty shits.
Egotism is the anesthetic that dullens the pain of stupidity, this is why when I try to beat my head against the stupidity of other people, I only hurt myself.
