Funny thing is, I've never seen a game ban people for external or forum posts before. Not even GW2 which goes to great lengths to keep negativity away from its devs.
I've been banned for asking why I was temporary banned and not stopping pressing the issue until I got an answer then they banned me again for a quarter of the year so whats so surprising their game their rules same rules apply to their forums their forum their rules when you agree to their eula or even join their own forums you as a player should know what to expect game devs are human and humans tend to be selfish petty ass hats by nature
Generally speaking most forums have rules against posting about moderation issues or repetitively challenging moderation actions.
While I believe they should provide an explanation to those banned, in most cases they are under no legal obligation to do so especially in a free forum site where no money changes hands.
