Ice Gauntlet and Fire Staff aoe will often NOT damage...Hatchet's Against All Odds passive damage perk stacks infinitely in the background up to 300% (or so) damage. So now Hatchets, which are fast weapons, are doing as much as the slower 2handed weapons.
This was not ready for release. I'd say it's at least a year away from being 'good to go'.

the end result of out of control nepotism and extreme woke hiring practices? The worst is yet to come? Its boring, unimaginative, buggy and bland.. but at least it works ..right?
At hundreds of millions (some say 500 million!) of dollars this game should of been a showcase of what's possible. In a way it is though, when you have a dead corrupted culture this is all that's possible in reality when every project is a looting operation foremost and a quality product somewhere way at the back of the line.
