This game has already outlasted SWG; but only as a f2p MMO.

I still love SWTOR, but I would rather see a graphics overhaul, sans the obsolete Hero Engine, instead of 4K trailers...

These trailers are some of the best Star Wars "movies" outside of the original trilogy.

    HeroEngine was never the issue.

The issue was that they bought the pre-release beta version of HeroEngine and then modified it so heavily that they never were able to upgrade to actual release version anymore nor were able to get any updates and fixes. So HeroEngine was never able to support them.

It was actually pretty sad as HeroEngine got all the blame and bad reputation as result, while the actual blame was on EA and Bioware themselves.

HeroEngine was (and still is) the only game engine on the market that was focused on MMO development. So it's a real shame that EA/Bioware ruined their reputation.

I mean, just look at the outrage against HeroEngine when people discovered that Zenimax/Bethesda used this engine in the Proof of Concept phase of Elder Scrolls Online development back then.

These 4k trailers were made by a regular player. Maybe they bought it from him, bought it is not new.
Or maybe Bioware just remastered the trailers? Unless we get some info otherwise, I think it's better to assume that the fan-made 4K trailers are different versions from these.

Which means that they destroyed their own game before it's has been released. The worst decision in games industry history by far.
