"one major concern from players is the introduction of new issues when old issues are being fixed"

Well we have been saying that and I don't even play, it is just obvious from what others have said. Maybe they are getting it:

""the "blistering pace" of the patches since launch has caused some issues with testing them fully, so as a result, Amazon is going to be taking a step back to ensure more testing time.""

For me though they didn't need to hear from players about this, they should have been seeing it first hand, regardless they seem to have put their thinking caps on and slowed the pace.

Overall I imagine players will be pleased.

The very best thing they can do for this game and it's players is to take a page from Yoshi-P's playbook, a full reconstruction from the ground up. Many of New World's problems are at it's core. Patches are more or less band-aids at this point. Full reconstructive surgery is needed here.

I would also suggest they hire EXPERIENCED developers and add a more talented team. These devs seem to be learning on the job, and that is why the game finds itself in it's current predicament.

Based on what? Not being a dick but where do you see long term investment?

The combat is poor, especially for a PC game and was clearly constructed for a console port.

PvP is just bad, ignoring the massive bugs and balance issues most players cant get a look in as the controlling cliques lock out random players.

PvE is dull, not even good enough to be called run of the mill, they took a year to try and shoehorn PvE into the game and did not do a good job.

Crafting is expansive and initially interesting but its just a side grind, its not fun, its designed to eat your time and distract you from whats a sparse game.

Its very pretty but so was Anthem and Marvels Avengers, remember a couple of months after the disaster of Anthem they bleated on about their 10 year plan? Didnt last long did it....

I personally dont see what they can do with this at all, it needs ground up rebuilding which is unrealistic, expect to see the cash shop jammed with more and more outfits and thats about it.

The problem i see for NW is if you compare it to any other mmo out, they have less content in the entire game at this point than most MMOs have in the starter area. Less animations, less models, less of almost everything. There is really nothing that grasps you to play other than its something new and exciting, they need to figure something out quick.

I had fun at first but that fun withered out really fast.

Game has only just released a couple months ago. Seeing how much PVE content they added in less than a year, I’m confident we can see something worth making NW my main mmo game since it’s a major breath of fresh air in every way you look at it compared to the old and stale mmos out there.

A year from now when the game has matured and added triple or quadriple the amount of content it has currently, simply translating it to Russian, Korean, Japanese and Chinese will add millions of players to the game that’s gonna be in a much better state and with a ton more content than it has now.

How? I got a massive sense of deja vu myself when trying it out. Did I miss anything?
Really? Which current MMOs did it remind you of?

It feels pretty unique to me. Especially the PvE combat that is still stagger-heavy like both it and PvP used to be. Active defenses matter which is quite difference from most other current action MMOs where it's supposed to matter but really doesn't because you can make yourself virtually impervious to damage and just face tank everything ignoring mechanics.

It's kind of souls-lite in that sense which is pretty unique in MMOs.

The general main premise of mixed PvP and PvE is also pretty unique with the town ownership and tax collection system that heavily rewards (too much IMO, but that's a different story) the outcome of their 50 v. 50 PvP battlegrounds, wars.

I'm not saying it's the best thing ever but one of the things I do like is that it does feel different from the current crop of MMOs out there.

The problem with new world is its OLD AND STALE! it is sparce and spartan. it is uninspired and un creative. the testers said as much in alpha and beta. all its living on right now are low bar hack and slash players and that new game smell!
it is SHALLOW AND NO DEPTH even what they call dungeons or expiditions are a joke and over powered. it use to be if you were level 20-25 you could start corruptions but then they made all of them elite so now the average player doesnt even bother with them till 30-40
my charactor is level 48 and I still do not have a starter corruption staff!
and some content forces you to join a faction wether you want to or not.
there are only token mobs as in turkey, cat, wolf, zombie, though the undead have a crew. it comes down to a zombie stomp. without some solid content and quests many will leave NW for greener pastures next spring and check back in a year or so... oh and about half the game chat are gold farmers or other players trying to hock high end (60+) stuff id also say at least half the players are max level already. me im a casual player.

make a world, not a game, we dont want another game.

thats because the games being produced are for low bar players that obsess over mind benders like tic tac toe. and their crib toys and let developers get away with this one star trash heap. go watch some movies or read some books and not the identity lectures of today. real movies the ones you remember days, weeks, months, years, later.

make a world, not a game, we dont want another game.
