Every year the list of important dates for upcoming MMOs gets harder and harder to track, especially with so many changes happening throughout Alpha, Beta, and Launch cycles. This list will be an easy-to-reference list of important dates and what state an upcoming MMO is in. We'll keep it updated throughout the year as a handy reference.

    It isn't a list of MMOs releasing in 2022, more so MMOs in development in 2022 that people might want to keep track of. There's quite a few on here that won't be releasing in 2022.

    Pretty pointless to watch out for games that doesn't even have release date. They wont be release in 2022.

    Might as well have included Chronicles of Elyria on this list.

    Some of these have been coming soon™ for the last 6-8 years.

    Probably could have shortened it down to Lost Ark.

    Pretty depressing to be honest.

    Well, at least there was a title or two that I've not heard of.  Even one that seems partially interesting, Rulers of the Sea.  I wonder how that whole "educational about life in the 1700s" thing will work out for them.  More importantly, I wonder how much of their "life in the 1700s" will be remotely accurate, and not based on movies.

    Rulers of the Sea should not even be on this list. It's still in Idea stage and trying to locate financial backing. I've been following this game for a couple years now. It's an interesting concept. I did financially back it, but they only have a little money and all workers are volunteers.

    Thanks, @Slapshot1188.  That one went from 'partially interesting' to 'avoid-like-the-plague' in a big hurry.

    Purchasing 'ruler status' in a game is a horrid idea; having players as 'rulers' in a game is suspect enough already.  You want to see modern day version of slavery infest a game real quick?  Let players be able to control/order/command others without hefty checks and balances.  Although for historical accuracy with a dose of modern political correctness, this game will probably call them 'press gang initiates'.

    Didn't call it games releasing but games to watch out for. There are a number of these I am actively watching. Getting upset about a list of upcoming MMOs on a MMO site. That what people should be upset about. Thanks mmorpg.com for making this list. As an MMOer it nice to know there is still options out there. And this list has some solid contenders Im sure even the haters will try when they launch.

    Well, not an MMORPG but I think I'll focus more than originally intended on Elden Ring this year. Unless some good single players release May and on.

    The Day Before looks good, but when it comes to FNTASTIC I'd definitely wait for at least a few months before considering a purchase.

    No mention of the most immersive MMO Mortal Online 2 which is about to be released on the 25th. Amazing game that is different from all the other MMOs out there.
