Just my opinion as an alt lover...

I have a problem connecting to this game.  The all classes on one character just does not connect with me.  I do not want my bard to look like my warrior and just a change in armor does not do it for me.  

The class abilities in themselves are fine.  At the start they all feel the same...I only made it to level 56 in Heavensward punishing myself with 6 different characters getting there.  I just wish there was more account wide unlocks for alt'ers that do not mind being punished with multiple characters or a cheap and easy way to have an unlock for free race change when you change your job.  Keep the name so you cannot be a jerk and just change that but I would like different looks when I play different jobs.

What you are asking for would be a big design shift and not something I would think they would do.

Yeah I doubt they would.  Just my opinion of why I can not seem to connect to this game to justify paying for a subscription.  Not really a knock on the game more on myself I guess.  I want to like the game I just can not seem to get behind the all on one character if they look the same when doing different jobs.

What's stopping you from rolling alts? I know plenty of people who have multiple characters.

Why can't you just roll different characters and develop those character toward their primary function?

I have gotten 6 characters into Heavensward....It was a slog through those quests.  Lack of efficent trading between characters is a pain and I wish unlocks would go across account like in Wow where mounts and pets get shared.  

As one has to do the story quests or buy past them it can get tedious.  If you could just do the story quest on one character and the rest on the account were level unlocked it would be great.

Told my non gaming wife I was an "alt" lover, she smacked me hard and said I'd be hearing from her lawyer.
