Im going to say this and be done because I really am not interested in going back forth with someone whose entire thing is to derail any statement I make regardless of topic.

I try to write well-thought-out, Logical, statements when I make one, Ive been doing it for years. I am not perfect by any means but I do try to provide my own perspective just like everyone else here.

I have no clue why some people think I am not allowed to share my thoughts but that's a personal problem for them to figure out not me. Nothing will change on my end. 

I hope that people get to the bigger thought in my post and not just do the cowardly thing by trying to cherry-pick my post looking for faults. What I said and provided is a lot to take in and it's not something you will likely process right now if you are on the disagreeing side. 

And this whole narrative of Us vs Them, miss me with that bs too. We all know, there is such thing as right and wrong. That's the only "VS" I care about and the only one I really address. 

It was wrong for people to be In this thread saying this beautiful idea is so-called "Woke" it was offensive and very dismissive of not only the culture the game pulls from but the people working on the game also.

I saw others addressing it. It warmed my heart. I addressed it as well but I guess my thought was a little too uncomfortable for some to handle. Good. Im glad you are uncomfortable with that. There is no place for that bs in gaming. 

I was also uncomfortable watching people label this as woke simply because they saw "African" but I guess that doesn't matter. 

I wish this studio and game nothing but success, they definitely have my support.


You are either for equality or you are not. There is no in-between on this. There is no agreement to disagree on this. It's very clear. 

If you are for equality there would be NO issue at all with this game. Clearly, people have an issue because they have to say it's woke trash. 

What's even worse is I fully expected people to come at me for telling those people why they are wrong to even use the term in the first place.

The first reply to my post was "this is dumb" "get back to the game"
after people literally were saying the same things I said.

It's amazing how this happens the day after MLK day. Poetic even.

Because its a gaming forum and this may surprise you but nobody wants to hear your thoughts on a Forbes article about Wokeness.  Just like nobody wants to read the other guy talk about how the day is coming when the "last white person is eliminated"

All you are doing is a disservice to the actual game at hand that actually deserves to have a chance to be evaluated on it's merits.
