Indie games have come a long way over the past decade. Many independent studios are filled with passionate team members that are determined to see their projects through. I'm not a big survival game fan, but as long as there's some cooperative stuff to do, I think I can get behind it.

Since it looks like all mainstream companies will become part of the borg collective in the near future, indie gaming companies are my last best hope for some actual good games to play. I also was never a fan of survival games, until I tried Valheim. Now I'm hooked. I'm planning on trying out Outwards and Medieval Dynasty in the next couple of months.
I didn't know much about it until I started seeing some publicity for it on the "MMO's to watch in 2022" lists, and some of the NVIDIA stuff. That said, the history of the developer didn't exactly give me a ton of confidence.
Love the concept, looks great, sure hope they can not only execute, but continue to develop post launch a solid product.

Like sea of thieves didn't have a minimap or quest markers. It certainly wasn't hand holding, and it did feel like a completely different experience.

Yeah I've read that the combat in Outwards and Medieval destiny are pretty janky.
