BDO is one of the few MMOs I've played and just couldn't take the grind to hit max level. I tried 3 different classes. Just can't take it. Plus the whole economy thing with trade routes and whatever is just way too much headache for me. I'm not a crafter and never will be so the BDO system is just a hard pass for me. If this game is anything like that I'll be passing it by.
"The game has a brief teaser and a confirmed title, and there’s still a lot that is unknown about the game, but Kakao promises they’ll keep revealing more over time."
While I typically hate Korean MMO's Lost Ark has made me at least give them a chance since i love that game. I'm also all about seeing more SciFi MMOS especially. So anyone that is bringing one to market will get me to look at it. I love medieval fantasy but its 90% of the MMORPG's setting it feels like. So a little mixing it up is a good thing.

Well I imagine it is going to be like BDO in that they are going to try and suck every dollar out of their customer base......
I am the exact opposite, I want some more sci-fi MMO's instead of another fantasy one.
There is only one genre to rule them all in MMO land and that is Fantasy. I to would like to see some SF but if the item progression is like BDO I will pass.
It does look like it's slated to be a Mobile game, but also a PC game(?) So multi-platform?
This is what i could dig up so far, as is probably the only details that exist as i have not yet found a website for Second Dive, but i am still looking.
I did find a public LinkedIn job profile for one of the game designers, and it details credentials (vaguely) citing free-to-play mobile game experience, but doesn't mention what projects- (that's probably shared privately) - I'm not at all familiar with how LinkedIn shares it's job postings information.

I loved the trading bit to pieces. I was very excited to open new nodes for my workers to use and collect resources. I was happy to just ride along in my wagon and take in the sights while almost going head over arse in a crash at the speed my wagons were going. Scenic route please it was speeding by in a blur but I had to make the profit. So like the rabbit in Alice I was always rushing about.
I did like the farming and I experimented on crops and occasionally made a good profit. I was never interested in the actual levelling and fighting. The game was all about the nodes, workers, trading, riding and breeding horses for me. I think I was an odd audience for this game. Having no desire to level beyond the level that gets you killed in PvP and absolutely no interest in whatever end game there was, I simply just loved the world.
Now if they do half the job in construction of this scifi world and put in these systems you will have a happy camper in me for sure.
From what I've been seeing from their publishing ventures based on the tail-end of 2021 (with Elyon and Archeage overtake), it might be a uphill battle. Elyon seems to be struggling and Archeage dropped out of the news fairly quickly after their take-over back in December (there's snips here and there, but not really much). I know they essentially put BDO on the map, but they haven't been tied to that title for some time now.

You do , till you realize its just BDO in space , then you wont
I'll just leave it at that.

I would actually love that!

Right now that doesn't hold any water. They are porting mobile trash on PC or are developing PC games that feel and play like mobile trash.
Correct, Kakao only published BDO in the West. And their publisher rights ended a year ago.
Cuckao isn't gonna fool me again.
Well, that depends...
• A Sci-Fi MMO with BDO's amazing combat? YES PLEASE!
• A Sci-Fi MMO with BDO's graphics and design? YES PLEASE!
• A Sci-Fi MMO with BDO's character models and customization? YES PLEASE!
However...
• A Sci-Fi MMO with BDO's brutal RNG system? PASS!
• A Sci-Fi MMO with BDO's predatory Cash Shop and Pay-to-Win mechanics? PASS!
Conclusion...
If I can get my Meawha in space with a laser sword or particle beam rifle... hell yea!
