Classes in MMORPGs tend to follow a familiar pattern, with classes typically emphasizing roles that specialize in either damage, tanking or healing. The holy trinity dominates how classes are designed, but it doesn't have to dominate every aspect of how a class is played. If you could change one major thing about your favorite MMORPG class, what would it be?

Welcome to the forums...whoever you are.
I don't recall (as far as I know) of any gender locked western games but it seems more prevalent in eastern games.
It's possible that it has something to do with how they view the sexes, possibly in regards to their own folklore/culture.

I’ve been here for quite a long time.
This change was supposedly done to improve the solo ability of beastlords, but the obvious side effect is that in goups beastlords will have to skip the proc or use a low level version, with subsequent loss in dps.
So yeah revert that back, and make beastlords great again. Kthx.

Revamp dots to deliver more damage upfront then with scaled and diminishing % tics there after.

I mean, half the time I loved a class but didn't like the MMO, or loved an MMO even though a single class didn't stand out.
I think If I had to sum it up, It's not a change but a reversion. SWtOR, pre-skill tree death, I loved the Sith Warrior. If they just gave me the game in that iteration, with my Juggernaut, I'd be happy.

Kyleran on yours sincerely
'But there are many. You can play them entirely solo, and even offline. Also, you are wrong by default.'
Ikcin in response to yours sincerely debating whether or not single-player offline MMOs exist...
'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.
It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.
It is just huge resource waste....'

One Tamriel was great IMO.
In most MMOs the zoning experiences have all been uneven, with my chars having out leveled 90% of them by the time I reached them making them mindnumbingly boring, while the remaining 10% being unbearably difficult without having endgame gear... it goes from one extreme to the other, neither of which is fun. It also made the games a lot more linear, making most of the lower level zones irrellevant.
One Tamriel fixed all of those issues. Makes the game a bit more realistic too without the zone levels - I mean, I am supposed to be this great hero who has defeated gods and demons and conquered realms... so why the heck am I being killed by fluffy little bunnies from a higher level zone?
Beside that I would prefer that the genre as such never had went down the stale road of the holy trinity.
“Microtransactions? In a single player role-playing game? Are you nuts?”

many mmo classes which are deal with hybird just have dps+heal or dps+tank....
but it is so lack of tank+heal...
i wish tank+heal can be more create in future mmo, and also can shine in pvp/pve
