Looking for an MMO I can play with my kids where there is viable endgame content for small clans/guilds. EVE Online didn't have enough moment to moment gameplay, we're kinda done with GW2, they found EQ2 fun ( a LOT of goals one can set) but grindy, and New World got really old really fast for all of us.
What are some MMOs that are good for small guilds of 3-6 players?

One such zone was released in 2015, Craglorn, and it has gone through some changes but still has a mix of solo and group friendly areas there with a handy-dandy broadcast message you get that says "you're now entering(/exiting) a group area."
The whole world is level scaled but Craglorn's difficulty for open world zones is still q bit more than all the other zones.
It IS a very 3-6 person group friendly game with all the dungeons which come in normal and vet versions, being 4 player runs, several arenas for 4, PvP BGs with 4 per side, etc. Even most world bosses can be done with 3-6 players fairly easily.
It's only the "Trials" (what ESO calls raids) and world PvP in the one zone made for that, Cyrodiil, that put you in larger groups.
The game has a metric shit-ton of content. Enough to keep you busy for literally years if you have never played before.

There is Craiglorn, an "adventure" zone aimed at groups of 4 or more, though with a good build much of the content can be done with less or even solo.
So ESO is a good choice but your family is going to want to learn to parse, (or spell weave) especially if they favor DPS, not everyone's cup of tea.

I stopped after a couple of months at launch, but played it for 18 months (exclusively) when I returned about a year later.
One of few games I ever enjoyed building in, the camps have phenomenal flexibility and now you can build 3, per account for free.
Lots of QOL improvements including Perk Card manager, excercise equipment to buff stats, and legendary gear system.
I think you'll enjoy it now.
