They've always been there, but it seems that everyone is throwing out roadmaps. I looked at several games on steam today and most of them had 'roadmaps' 'we're only single player, 1 race, 1 class, 1 house', but look at our 20 year roadmap. Roadmaps here, roadmaps there, roadmaps, I see them everywhere. I'm actually pretty flexible in game development, but it's getting to be too much. Have at least a workable game with roadmaps.

Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.- FARGIN_WAR
