As long as people know its gacha, then it is what it is, just dont be surprised seeing people wanting particular people that have a particular number of stars on their weapon to join groups.
One thing I do have a gripe with is that the 'healer' characters (except I think Nemesis, which is on the limited pull banner), dont get their heals until you get at least one duplicate pull.....

luckily you get a lot of free pulls just by playing. I wouldn't even consider worrying about gacha all that much until you're closing out the second act, which is probably somewhere around 3 or 4 hours of play time if you're just rushing through and not exploring that much.
I hate games where people stand by tier lists, most characters in tof are enough to get you through. Personally I think Zero has one of the coolest weapons. I'd be happy just to pull him.
The very concept of mobile-to-PC ports is repugnant to me. They're trying to force me to envision my 104-key keyboard as some kind of 8 key peripheral. It's not working. I paid for this ] key, I'm using it.
Logic, my dear, merely enables one to be wrong with great authority.

Kind of like looking forward to getting beat up because they're not going to hit you on the face at first

Unfortunately, not a lot of people understand how gacha's work and in many cases, tier lists hold to a degree depending on how many duplicates you need for that character to perform their role. As I mentioned before, the 2 'permanent' banner healers, can't even heal without at least one duplicate, so you're kind of boned if you want to play a healer and dont have luck on your side. You do get the token things to counter that to a degree by being able to buy the weapon you want after a certain number of pulls, but again, its just best to keep people informed if they haven't played a game like this before. If people are coming from genshin to this, then I'm sure they wont mind much and may even prefer this gacha system to that one.
I tried logging in at 8:40 est and promptly got a login error and was kicked back to desktop. I'm thinking the servers are getting crushed and can't take any more players.
Ok, 2nd try and I am to the main screen. I click the mouse to launch and get some server error message.

Yeah, it's also sad that any gacha creates the fake appearance that f2p is enough to play comfortably. No matter what gacha I played, there always was the point where I had to invest at least a little bit to keep going.

Just like the PC control system suffered from console first development, now both PC and console suffer from mobile first development. You didn't mention the restriction to UI and visual acuity such small screens leads to, we did not get those problems from consoles, that's all down to mobile.
Was taking forever to kill stuff on the starter character then got some Scyth dude that 1 hits everything. So, guess I'm playing that unless something better comes along and see how far it can carry me without paying anything for the game.
