It looks like Richard Garriott's upcoming MMO project has an official name (and has for a while). The upcoming Web 3.0 MMORPG will be named Iron & Magic.

    What an absolute scumbag. Christ. It's honestly pathetic to watch him beg for money like this. However, I'm sure there's going to be plenty of idgits who buy into the scam for a third time. Godspeed to you chuckle heads for supporting a game designer well past his prime who hasn't made a game worth playing in nearly 20 years.

    Agreed.  Certain buzzwords catch on and become triggera for people.  NFTs is the current boogie man.  I'll wait and see.  As for Garriot, he's trying to stay relevant.  The same with people as with terms.  I don't get hung up.  Show me the game.

    Asshole is going to sell land before the game is even fleshed out lol. But knowing gamers and reading their contortionist apologetics in these forums about everything from lootboxes, to gacha to P2W to NFTs, I'm sure some will bite.

    I actually thought he retired after SOTA flopped. I mean, wasn't like he didn't get money out of that kickstart. But, wtf, jump into this nonsense shown here?
    If folks want to play something enjoyable like UO, try Shards of Britannia. It uses the legends of Aria engine and isn't bad at all for a free ran server item.
