Intrepid Studios' latest Ashes of Creation stream has revealed a look at expanding biomes, and plans for more, including a much larger map headed into the planned second alpha.

    We will see what this ends up becoming. What everyone should know though, is that most of the funding is made by the CEO himself.

    Perhaps we should have more faith, but personally I have reached the point were I will only applaud after the launch for any crowd funded game.

    I think in a few years it will shift to PLaunch. A newly coined term meaning Pre-Launch. And there will be an attempt to define it as an almost launched product you should buy but do not criticize the bugs and exploits because... it's not launched.

    Which has NEVER had any substantial proof to the best of my knowledge. He said it once a long time ago.. in a manner of "I COULD fund the budget". Now we both know that they are years and years over their development timeline, so that means their budget.

    If you have some breakdown showing how much of Stephen's own money has actually gone into the game please share it. because, as far as I can tell it's just as likely that he provided seed money and the rest has come from players. Equally possible in my view.

    Playable means feature complete, final wipe done etc.

    Until then, definitely not playable.

    Ahh jaded mmorpg'ers...

    Transpiring royal saltiness to games in development and their developers to cope with the pain.

    Their poor mmorpg heart, broken many times before. Now encrusted with a thick beige armour of pointy salt crystals, keeping any feel of optimist and hope at bay by fear of being hurt once again.

    Doomed to live in perpetual sorrow, longing to re-feel the hype and excitement of their younger naive days.

    These species can usually be observed congregating around dark and secluded foruns, vigorously bashing anything that might tempt their grieving souls.

    All while secretly wishing to be prooven wrong. As nothing would please them more, than finally be blessed with a mmorpg to call home and relive their younger days.

     B) 

    Allow yourself to be unrattled with the fact that a studio is attempting to make an ambitious game and sharing their work. You might even enjoy it in the future. :)
