    I picked these up about a month ago and am overall happy with them. They replaced an aging Logitech 5.1 system (used audio outputs instead of usb) where the rear speakers had stopped working a long time ago.

    I haven't played with Sonar enough to even figure out what it's supposed to do. My impression was something to do with streaming? Dunno, everything else set up fine so I guess I don't need it.

    I get that popping also. It's rare, thankfully, because like you said it's an expensive piece of kit and I wasn't happy the first few times I heard it.
