Brenics — I want to make it clear that I think Chris Roberts will be remembered as the person who brought down game crowdfunding by cheating backers. run 3
Great, though unsurprisingly I cant download because I have none of the options offered.
Doesnt really matter. Never was tempted by Fallout. Its a too depressing setting.
Also, everyone thinks that after WW3 the world would actually look like Fallout. Which annoys me without end. After WW3 we will have over a decade of nuclear winter. Its unlikely that mankind will survive at all.

They come out of the bunker in Fallout 3 after 200 years from when the bombs fell.
They live underground all that time and have families and such and rationing. Even after you come out there are many places with bad radiation still.
There are communities that you meet that came out from other bunkers earlier and they have towns with some folk who have radiation sickness. They look like zombies.
One of them lives in town and gives quests. Or was that New Vegas sorry the games got mixed up in my head.
When I try to download the game from Epic it tells me it needs like 40gbs of space for the game. Is the game actually 40gbs big?? I can’t believe its that big. I’ve only got like 13gbs of space free and I was all excited about getting to play it. Are the DLCs adding more space to it? I guess I’m just used to older games having smaller file sizes.
Much of the doom and gloom of the aftermath of a nuclear war is exaggerated, due to what scientists theorized back in the 50's and 60's. Most nukes would be detonated above the target, i.e. in the air. Both "nuclear winter" and long term irradiation depends on ground strikes, as the soil and debris being blown up and out would cause your "winter" and radiation being trapped in the soil that resettles would lead to long term irradiation of the land. Nevada and 3 mile Island taught us what ground strikes do. Chernobyl taught us how fast life will come back compared to belief at the time. Hell, Japan showed us nukes are survivable. Are you screwed if you're within reach of the blasts? Most definitely. Is surviving going to be a bitch for a few decades? Yes. Will you be getting rich if you're a supplier of iodide pills? Of course. The current makers are getting rich selling iodide pills and "survival kits" to New Yorkers right now, taking advantage of Putin's nuke threats to fearmonger profit.
Whow.
I'm sorry but you're amazingly clueless about physics.
Yes nuclear bombs, ALL nuclear bombs, except for bunker breakers, are detonated high above the target, to maximize the damage. That however does in no way reduce the amount of dust blown into the stratosphere, where they cause nuclear winter. Quite on the contrary, that actually maximizes the amount of said dust. Bunker breakers cause less, not more, nuclear winter.
Tshernobyl and Fukushima have exactly nothing to do with what a nuclear war would look like. They literally caused ZERO nuclear winter. There wasnt any fireball to blow up dust to begin with.
A small worldwide nuclear winter was caused by the open nuclear weapon tests of the USA in the 1950s.
Either way scientific studies what happends after massive worldwide nuclear wear are available at your fingertipps aplenty on the internet.
For example the projections if India and Pakistan alone would detonate their respective 200 nuclear bombs on the respective other sides territory - simulations showed that would cause about 2 billion people dead worldwide from the resulting global nuclear winter. Far more than would die directly from the bombs.
And the USA and Russia have many thousands of bombs, and even stronger bombs, and would deliver them all around the globe. And they are ready to be used at any moment. Not just in storage, like it is currently the case for India and Pakistan. So the effect would be much stronger - sufficient to wipe out mankind completely. Because you would have nothing but snow even at the equator.
And please dont discuss politics here, I cannot even answer, because its not allowed.

Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.
Give Fallout 3 a try if you haven't.
Also make sure you get the bug patch that modders did.
