Gaming blockchain Oasys debuts mainnet ahead of public token listing - Ubisoft Saga Gaming blockchai

bcbullybcbully Member EpicPosts: 11,843
The blockchain has already established itself among traditional gaming industry incumbents and counts publishers Square Enix, Ubisoft and Sega among its initial node validators. These are alongside Bandai Namco, Yield Guild Games, WeMade, Neowiz, Netmarble and Com2Us.

Gaming blockchain Oasys has taken the final steps towards debuting its mainnet, with 21 initial validators. There will be three initial phases, the first of which commences today.

Validators are set to begin taking operations of all nodes — ensuring that Oasys Layer 1, the Hub-Layer, can maintain stable performance, according to a company release.

The second phase, which will begin to integrate its Layer 2 Verse-Layer on top of existing framework, is expected around the second week of November.

Phase three will follow on Nov. 22, when the blockchain plans to integrate the Oasys-Hub, a front-end user portal.

Isn't there a limit to the amount of obscure tech jargon and buzzwords per sentence? No? There should be.

I must admit I would give this announcement more credence if it did not come from a site called "The Block". It's like all those videos I watched the other year getting up to date on crypto in gaming, I realised that the baulk of a You Tube search is "news" from such sites or individuals with a vested interest. Thats why relatively few of the videos raise concerns, you have to dig deep.

Same with many regular games. AoC for instance will literally pay you real cash percentage of sales for anyone you recruit. That’s about as vested interest as you can get and why I don’t believe anything I see on the game.

Such a shame to see companies like Funcom go down the path to ruin like that.

Well, I don't know a whole lot about derivatives trading despite working for a bank the past 19 years mostly because they are not relevant to areas of importance in my life, like gaming.

Same with Crypto/ NFT's, very little relationship to good gaming either, prove me wrong.   B)

Closer to roulette really, but with crappier odds of winning.

Don't knock The Block. Jenny is from there, you know.
I remember an American news channel did a piece in her old neighborhood, there was a shopkeeper who said something like "Sure we all remember her, not seen her since she was famous though."

What happened is that you forgot we're gamers. We aren't going to be interested in inventory database tech or internet storefront tech, and we're even less interested in financial jargon like "incumbent".

And to pretend this clusterfuck of a monetization pyramid scheme has anything to do with actual gaming is not only disingenuous but downright criminal.

What worries me is what they are going to do when Macca dies? Will it become the Liverpool John Lennon and Macca Airport? I think he lives in Essex now, maybe there will be an airport for him there? :)

I thought it was ridiculous enough when vendors started advertising their parts as "gaming" motherboards or "gaming" light strips or some such.  But "gaming" blockchains?  That's even worse.
