    'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless. 

    It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

    It is just huge resource waste....'

    I can go back to fifth grade, learn how to spell.  Take a few video game programming classes, spent a few extra thousands of dollars to upgrade my computer. Then ask a few friends to help and do a better job than thease Hacks.

    Total cost: $3.000

    This is awful !

    I'm kind of interested, if only just to see what the final game looks like and how it plays. I doubt if I "find a home" in the MMORPG pace, but maybe?

    Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.

    THis is why we are saying you might as well just go play Everquest if this is the kind  of gameplay yo uare looking for....At least it has 23 years and 20 something expansions worth of content behind it.

    CohhCarnage clarified during the stream he's an actual "investor" in the company and not just a high tier backer of Pantheon.

    So I guess he's paying them to stream.

    The pace is like Everquest but Everquest had a lot more going for it so without seeing more areas, dungeons, skills and abilities it is hard to gauge the game with any real seriousness.

    Oh, and I hope they bring (high-) elven Paladins back.

    EQ has them, Vangard had them, so why doesnt Pantheon.

    I don't think we can expect Delete to change the course of his life to get us a solid new MMORPG. :)

    There is a reason we are seeing this across the board, Sota (possibly the best of the lot!), Embers, Pantheon. These small teams can only produce small, graphically challenged MMOs. Albion Online seems to be the only one that has been successful with its cartoony (cheap) graphics and playstyle which emphasises other players as content via PvP. Crowd funded MMOs which are first and foremost PvE games which try for a "realistic" graphics look cannot come up with the goods.

    The expansion count is at 29.  But, you're right, @Theocritus.  If someone is looking for that EQ1 style gameplay, just go play EQ1.  It's still viable after 23 years.

    I hope not, because thats one of the things Vanguard thankfully fixed.
    I only watched a few minutes of the 4 th video but CohhCarnage's avatar clearly sat down after finishing a relatively minor fight (he was like level 1 or 2) and stayed down for a while.

    Now he was talking at the time so no idea how soon he could have stood back up to continue but he definitely sat down to regen.

    Also, just like Embers dark was really dark, even CohhCarnage said he wished there was a torch available to light things up more, but apparently not available ATM.

    meh, I never could get into Everquest. Now Vanguard on the other hand was great.

    I did not realise this, is the PvE quite separate from the PvP or shared zones? It does show what you can do once the money starts rolling in, the problem for PvE crowd funded "PvE centric MMOs" is the money never starts rolling in.

    Pfft, I never commented on New World.

    I dont care for graphics, beyond a certain point, and this IS beyond that point.

    I cannot see where you get the "plays terrible" part. Thats certainly not what was shown. Game ran smooth and well.

    If you dont like this playstyle, well thats your perogative. Play something else then. Thats not an objective flaw though.
