I am Asian and I watch Korean, Chinese and Japanese stuff a lot. I noticed something very particular to the Chinese . They fully support their games, products and other locally produced things because of a sense of pride that they can do things as well as Western countries can.
This is very important to the success of local productions including games like this. This game will do very well in China and that market is huge.
When you watch Chinese dramas aside from their worship of branded items the message is very clear, it's mostly about supporting local endeavours. They stress repeatedly I might add about the clever things local manufacturers manage even if is lifted off other countries or ideas. Stealing ideas isn't considered bad form. It's clever in their book.
They could've completely copied WoW and it would still have been a success. I am surprised they made a 30% effort not to.
