Age of Wonders IV from Publisher Paradox Interactive and developer Triumph Studios is out on May 2nd. The game has a lot of positives going for it, but it may still need a few more tweaks to make it a great experience.     The AI does seem to have issues and any resolution of that will be some way down the line, but still a great 4X and must buy. That said I will wait a couple of years for the expansions to come out, I have a list of 25+ bought games to play and so the AI problems may not even be there when I play the game.

    The AI is the more aggressive the higher the difficulty. You can even modify it with advanteges and disadvanteges. You could up the general difficulty and strip the AI of some resources to have a different experience. There is an interview with Lennart Sas with Writing Bull, where he points this out. :)

    Great game, I been playing it for a couple weeks.
    "The King and the Pawn return to the same box at the end of the game"
