Graphic breakthroughs in the next Gen. MMORPGs!!

Is anyone else here impressed by the Lineage II graphics?

Stylistically, it is a bit vanilla (Japornime stylization) , but the game looks absolutely gorgeous from what I've seen in the screenshots.  If you can all-out assault a castle in a 3D environment (we'll see . . . ), EQ will see some stiff competition in the North American Market.

A question-Is NCsoft a Korean company or is it an American co. that has a game popular in Korea>?

Call me antiquated, but I have a certain sense of loyalty to games created by stateside companies.

The only other game with comparable concept art I've seen is the Game built around Norse mythology-their website and concept art is fantastic as well-oops forgot the name. . .

Anyone with an inside track on these games.

Permadeath and environmental challenges are the next great step in the evolution of MMORPGs. Only through true adversity will one feel accomplished. Only in truly knowing you can die will true adversity present itself.

I was just looking at the Lineage II trailors and was thinking the same thing, the graphics are simply stunning.  When does the North American beta start?

As far as i know NCsoft is sort of a hybrid of USA/korea.

It has a lot of its operations in Austin.

So who really pulls the strings for the company- Koreans

Are many Americans working for it-yes.

So if you are "loyal" to American only products(everyone has their views) then no its more Korean then USA .

The Unreal Engine does wonders.  I'm between games at the moment and would love to give Lineage a spin.
