If you like the genre these games fall into, then I would certainly play these if you havent already played them. Hard not to like any of these games once you give them a chance.
I have a bunch of games on steam so I might have missed a couple. The ones that can play Multiplayer, I would do that as they are fun with others, but you can solo all these and still enjoy the game. To me these are all top S or A tier games.
S or A Tier games (Steam)
Against the Storm
Ark: Survival Evolved Divinity: Original Sin 2
Eldenring
Factorio
Frostpunk
Grounded
Hades
Plants vs Zombies
Raft
Rimworld
Risk of Rain 2 Sid Meier's Civilization IV
Slay the Spire
Skyrim (Modded)
Subnautica
Terraria
The Witcher 3
V Rising
Valheim
Vampire Survivors
In regards to MMO's I havent seen anything release in the last 10 years that is worthy of S or A tier. Heck maybe not even B or C Tier.
I completed elden ring and im gona play the new expansion with a new hero starting over. So at least thats 1 good game for me.
I wanted to like ark but i find th egameplay to clunky and to many players are basicly being trolls and ruins ur game play.
For now i jumped in to D4 with a new blizz account. Im on the trial for now but maybe im gona buy a battlepass for a month until elden ring exp comes out.
They changed the loot and stuff...
I do like Poe also but this league was the worst and alot of players left after 1 week or so.
Im looking forward to poe 2 !!!
I also looked on that V Rising, but its not a long game.

Awesome game list! Great mix of genres for everyone. For those new to the list, maybe mention the genre for a few (e.g., Against the Storm - deckbuilder city builder). V Rising, the vampire survival game, looks interesting too!
On MMOs, some folks still love FFXIV or Guild Wars 2, but I hear you on recent releases
I got some VR games I wanna play too, tis sad I got too many to play and not enough time tbh lol
I am also thinking about a VR simpit project so I can play driving/racing/flight games with my quest 2 but it needs to be mobile as in I can roll it out of the livingroom when not actively using it since my gaming/media PC is in there so looking at making or getting some kind of rig with a seat that can accomodate a steering wheel and a couple flight sticks etc but where I can lift up the front and roll it into my room and tuck it away in front of my closet
Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.
Your VR simpit project sounds super cool, exactly what I'd need for limited space. Have you seen any designs online for mobile VR rigs that fold up or detach the seat for easy storage?
I dont drink when im alone and i hate reading books...so what else can you recommend me...I will play some path os exile 6 dec but thats only a 3-4 month league that usualy dies within 1 month since 3 month is to long.
Im looking forward for ashes of creation but than again who want to wait for 2030...
Then there is the dune mmorg but again..2030.
Im alive now and want to play my remaining life away or until i tilt off the chair.
It was great times when wow was new and good old games like never winter nights was great on differents servers/worlds.
Now its all fortnite....and minecraft...haiyaaaa !!!
Im soon gona freak out lik ethat angry german kid that bashes his keybord to bits cuz he want to play games !!!
New Elden Ring expansion in June.
Have you checked out Banishers by DON'T NOD (makers of Life is Strange) yet? It's set in a fictional town of New Eden in the New World the late 17th Century. The two protagonists are ghost hunters (sort of like ghost Witchers) who banish lingering ghosts, evil spirits, and demonic forces to protect humanity. It has God of War style combat (especially the boss battles) with great visuals, sound, and a very story driven focus like their previous games.
For the heavy story driven games you've mentioned liking before (TW3, Skyrim, etc) it seems like it might be worth a look for you. The drawbacks I see, where you're concerned, is that so far it is very on rails and linear. Still, the story and characters are interesting. The default controls are a little loose which makes the combat feel sloppy, but they can be adjusted in settings.
I will say I fired up No Man's Sky with the latest major update and that game is in a really good place if you like the style. So many systems and the visuals have come so far from launch.
Horizon Forbidden West dropped on PC recently. I'm 15hrs into it and it's one of the best open world games I have played. Side stories are so quality they feel like main quests. Combat is even better then the first one.
Also playing Cats Quest III with my wife. We fell in love with Cats Quest II and the new one is even better.

I have had several big downloads from them on Steam but havent returned....Theyve added so much content Im afraid I will be lost and have to start over.

It's not a joke, I love it! I think it is, at least from what I've played, a very good game. It's more for explorers though.
