I don't think "achievements" are a good metric for beating a game. A lot of achievements have to do with collections. The only achievements I think are worthwhile in a game like WOW is Loremaster and the dungeon/raid completion achievements. Those two achievements demonstrate that the player has experienced the story to its completion and has done all of the dungeons and raids. The rest are just achievements attached to doing time wasting activities in the game, such as mount collecting and maxing out reputation.

I'm not sure that "achievements" is even the right word. All you do is what they programmed you to do. The only real element involved is time.

I haven't played as many MMORPGs as most of you, but to me an achievement is success at something that you may never succeed at. I don't think there's been much of that, and none of that in recent years. I could be wrong and would appreciate any details if I am.
At my age it's an achievement if I wake up and get out of bed in the morning.

    :)

You have played life for 500,000 hours, 32 minutes, and 16 seconds.

The early game is good but after about level 18 it really becomes a grind.
