Crate Entertainment has announced their newest Grim Dawn expansion Fangs of Asterkarn.

Just way, way too late for me to return to game, but its really great they are still putting expansions out.

I wonder if, like many companies, COVID and all that caused a delay or change in plans. Regardless, I am very excited for this! 2024 is looking good for gaming!

This has nothing to do with COVID. I honestly thought they were working on a sequel, not yet another expansion on this now very old game.

It's a good game, don't get me wrong....but it had a good run and it's time to move on.

Crate did say they had no plans for further content expansions, but have apparently changed their minds. The announcement has been well received by fans on steam and their own forum.

As far as I know, a sequel has not been announced. Crate, however, are working on a new game in a completely different genre. The game is called Farthest Frontier, which is a city building colony sim. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1044720/Farthest_Frontier/

Not happening for awhile. But Asterkarn pleasantly surprised me. This should be a meaty expansion, quite likely closer to Malmouth than to Gods.

And I'm very interested in that new Mastery. We already have a Shaman, there is quite a possibility here.

I'm curious what they new synergies will be called. I get a kick out of the little thematic nod they add.
