They have questionable practices, but to dismiss them just on the basis of the country is going too far.

Honestly, it would be best if the world did dismiss that country if you really dig in to the practices they engage in, especial on a personal level (just do a quick google search on how they were REALLY treating their people during the height of Covid). And no, please dont be naive in thinking that Chinese businesses are divorced from the Chinese government. If the Chinese government wants something from Chinese businesses, they WILL get it. That said, its still baked into the global economy. Its kind of like smoking, sure its bad but still people do it, even doctors.
I am not going to discriminat a people because I don't like their government. If the Chinese government wants to know the specs of my PC and how badly I play games. They can have that info. The people making games need to eat as well.
I would say just to remember that there's a big difference between the Chinese government and the Chinese people. I know several Chinese people and they're all very intelligent, hard working, and pleasant people to be around and are largely as against what the Chinese government does as anyone. China's government is a authoritarian communist regime. It's not like you can just go vote them out of office. The only way the Chinese people can change their government would be with a very bloody civil war that would have global shockwaves. That's not going to happen.

Its honestly not about discriminating the people. The Chinese people and the Chinese government arent divorced. All money that goes in to Chinese companies has to essentially go through the Chinese government in one way/shape/form then the Chinese government dictates who gets what and how much. So its not like 'yeah support the businesses and not the government,' they are one in the same. ALL OF THAT SAID THOUGH, I'm not gonna say people shouldn't give them money since they will do what they want at the end of the day, its just like how again cigarettes have warning labels but people still buy and smoke them. You can't give China money and then feign ignorance when you find out that their government has an entire division dedicated to doxxing and harassing former Chinese citizens that left and talked bad about the country (google is your friend).
I read some notes from beta and they seem to be listening to feedback. They're removing gender lock. Other things as well but that's the one that stuck in my head.
