Spam Bots Everywhere, the flytrap

It seems bot posts are random, but some remain dormant here and look for keywords before activating.

I wonder if I make a thread with keywords that seem to bring the bots out of hiding and makes them spam. Lets test this.

They seem to like threads where people mention cost, money,$$ crypto, selling, buying, links, marketing, advertising, excel,  how-to ect. 

Anyone got any other ideas on on keywords?

Interesting observation! Some bots do appear to be activated by particular keywords. They appear to be waiting for the ideal opportunity to strike while hiding in the shadows. Your keyword-focused experiment may yield some interesting results. Perhaps some unexpected terms like "quantum spaghetti" or "banana hammock" could be included? Let's find out if the bots are all business or if they have a sense of humor! Lol

Indeed one could put new posters into a testing area first and check out the nature of their first postings, thus catching spambots.

Would require corresponding coding of the website, though. And sufficiently active moderators.
