City of Heroes private server now officially licensed by NCsoft

The City of Heroes Homecoming private server has entered into a license agreement with NCsoft.


Homecoming will continue to be free.

Brand new content can be developed.

NCsoft will not have access to your data.

    That's really great news.  Shockingly good. You can go play this now without fear it's going to get shut down. What a huge benefit to the CoH fans.

    Great news! Now I have to go create a bunch more alts!

    I go back every now and then and host mission groups just for fun. The whole game is there, it is totally free, and there is a P2W vendor too, and it's free too :smile:

    That is awesome news for fans, I wonder why they are allowing it. 

     City of Titans and Ship of Heroes weren't the best alternatives and now they will for sure flop.

    But GW1 is still playable on official servers though, you can play it right now. A game like SWG which Is officially shut down would be cool, but Disney would never agree.
