[insert material]punk is the new buzzword. Started with cyberpunk, which actually had a punk connotation if you understand what 1980s punk bands and punk fashion were. Now we've just completely forgotten that "punk" was the actual important part of the word and now it just means "a world based on this material".
Do yourself a favor and give yourself a little history lesson. Go google "1980's punk fashion" and look at the images that come up. Then go google "Cyberpunk 2077" and look at the game's cover art. Now say to yourself "AH! I see how 'punk' applies here!" Now you've learned something.
After that come here and watch this video and tell me how in any way is this game related to "punk" because I don't see it.
Punk just means anti. They were the original edgers.
Lots of old folk (40+) get angry when others try to say new punk.
The punks against the establishment were the original walking landmines with issues everyone else now apparently has.
