I’m annoyed that they voiced our character (also, I hate the voice they used) and that apparently we have a voice in our head?
Very disappointed ☹️
+1 for the Silent Protagonist. It's rare I prefer a voiced protagonist over a silent one. With games that have fixed characters, like The Witcher 3, it doesn't bother me, but for games I'm building my own unique character, then it usually bugs me a lot.

I liked the voice, but this is a problem when you can play a number of different vamps. I assume they will have a male voice but even so will my snooty Ventrue sound the same as my sewer dwelling Nosferatu? Yes I know they could, but for a video game that will seem a bit off. Would far prefer they gave all that recording time to npcs.
Also we are all playing a vampire who has been in hibernation for a century, I presume there will be no modern accents for players then? That may sound picky, but if you are going to force me to have a voice I don't want to sound like a teenager that has just got off their smartphone.

I suppose, for me, it's about expectation.
When I played the Witcher games or if I was to play a game centered around a specific character then sure, the voice is the voice.
But my expectation was to play a RPG about "my" character. At least that's what Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines allowed.
So, as a sequel to that game I had the same expectations.
In this game they gave me something else.
Also, I wonder if this game will "just" be about their story or if they will allow the player to discover other smaller stories like the first game.
I don't have high hopes at this point.
While players were expecting a sequel to "Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines" they thought "oh cool, we can make a vampire game."
Just a guess.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."

It's strange, when you think about it does the fact your character says things by text bother you? That doesn't bother me, I doubt it bothers many of us. What we look like does matter, but we accept how much we can define our own looks has limitations. Yet when it comes to voice in some way that matters most of all. Maybe that because due to perspective we either can't see our avatar or just see it from behind, where as there is no escaping our voice?
