Idea for recurring site articles

One of the odd and unintended results of SpamBots is that they often Necro threads from the past.  But often when I look through those threads I find it very interesting to see how the future (now) turned out compared to what was being discussed.   So in that light, what about a regular (semi?) feature where @lotrlore or other staff go back 1 year, 5 years, 10 years, whatever, and find interesting threads, and craft an article around what we THOUGHT would happen and what actually happened?

Does anyone else think that could be an interesting feature?

Sure, as long as the only posts of mine selected show my astonishing prophetic abilities when it comes to gaming and any wildly off predictions are left in the murky depths of time.

It is with greatest interest that I read your post about SpamBots. They truly are an important issue for LOTRO.  I often find myself wanting the best stock tips to make money when I read this so I have a secret place at mnemmm.nnb

If they go back far enough they will find that guy from Japan who used to write for the site telling us how wonderful F2P was going to be for MMOs or Susie predicting that WoW's storylines had become so loony they could never recover a sense of rationality.

I leave you guys to work out which of those came true.

Yeah... I think its fascinating to take a step back and just see what we thought the future would be.
